Viswanathan Odatt is the Managing Director of AIMS Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd. and a well-known insurance professional and expert from Kerala, bringing over two decades of experience in the insurance and risk management industry. Under his leadership, AIMS has grown as an insurance broking company serving individuals, families, SMEs, farmers, and businesses across Kerala and South India. His professional experience spans insurance advisory, risk management, corporate insurance, coverage, and claims, giving him a broad understanding of the insurance needs of different customers and sectors.
His approach is built on ethical practices, clear guidance, and long-term client relationships. He believes good insurance advice begins with understanding a customer’s actual risks and requirements—not simply recommending a policy. He helps customers understand their options and choose protection suited to their needs, while continuing to stand with them beyond the policy purchase, particularly when they need support during the claims process.

Why Did He Start AIMS Insurance Broking?
For Viswanathan Odatt, insurance was never simply about selling a policy. His experience in the insurance industry showed him that many individuals and businesses purchase insurance without fully understanding their coverage, exclusions, risks, and claims process. This gap became the foundation of his approach to insurance.
In 2003, he founded AIMS Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd. with the belief that a broker’s responsibility should continue beyond the sale of a policy. His approach is centred on understanding the customer’s risk, identifying potential coverage gaps, explaining suitable options, and standing with the customer when support is needed—especially during difficult claims.
